Upload your song for free and set your price. Fans unlock it by buying its music tokens, and you get paid in SOL right away. No upfront costs and no presale bullshit.

ARTIST UPLOADS TRACK (FREE)

Upload your music, artwork and details, and set your song price ($1 to $20). No payment required. Uses Solana's standard SPL Token Program, which has been independently audited.

• Each song has 100 music tokens, fixed forever
• Tokens are created on the first fan buy, so you pay nothing

FANS UNLOCK THE SONG

A fan's first buy of a song's music tokens unlocks it right away: the full download, plus entry to the artist's Room while they hold the entry amount. Every buy is at least the song price, plus your music tokens (at least 27.6% of the price) and the pot fee (from 2.4% of the price). Card and crypto wallet buys work exactly the same way.

WHERE THE MONEY GOES:

• Every buy is at least the song price, plus your music tokens (at least 27.6% of the price) and the pot fee (from 2.4% of the price)
• The song price goes to the artist, in SOL, right away, minus a 3% artist fee
• Everything above the song price goes into the song's pot, minus an 8% pot fee, and buys the fan's music tokens
• Early support pricing: music tokens cost less while a song is new
• A fan's first buy also unlocks the song for them; later buys pay the artist again and add tokens
• The artist gets matching tokens 1:1 on every buy, up to 15 of 100

COUNTDOWN STARTS

When fans' buys fill the song's pot to its launch goal (0.3 SOL), a 3-day countdown starts. Until then the song page shows its road to activation.

TWO WAYS TO LAUNCH:

• The countdown runs out (3 days after the pot reaches its goal)
• The song hits its market goal early (launches right away)

OPEN ACCESS AT LAUNCH

When the countdown ends and the pot has at least 0.3 SOL, music tokens open up: the pot becomes a pool on Meteora (Solana), locked forever, so fans can pass tokens on to other fans. If the pot is smaller than that, the sale simply stays open until it gets there. There are no refunds: what you bought, the download and Room entry, was yours from your first buy.

AT LAUNCH:

• The pot becomes a locked Meteora pool
• 5% of unsold tokens go to DropTrax; the rest are burned forever
• Every trade pays a 0.5% pool fee: 50% to the artist, 50% to DropTrax

FEES

On every buy and trade, DropTrax only ever takes:

Artist fee: 3% of the track price. The artist gets the rest of their price, right away.
Fan fee: 8% of the token part (what the fan pays above the track price), to cover the launch and transaction costs. Paid by the fan, never out of the artist's price.
0.25% of each trade once the song is out. The artist gets another 0.25% of every trade, forever, for as long as their token trades.

Where the tokens go at launch

Fans keep every token they bought.
The artist gets matching tokens, 1 for every token fans buy, up to 15 (15% of the 100 max).
DropTrax keeps 5% of the song's final supply. DropTrax may hold or sell these tokens at any time.
The trading pool gets the tokens it needs to open at the last sale price.
Every other unsold token is burned automatically on Solana at launch: gone forever, so the supply can never grow. Anyone can check the final supply on Solana.

Also good to know

Cashing out to a bank, if DropTrax holds an artist's money for them (Google sign-in): 3%.
Fans paying by card: a $2 card fee, and 3% of their tokens when they take them out to their own wallet.
Solana network fees: a fraction of a cent.

ROOM MEMBERSHIP RULES

Getting in

Every song has a Room: a members' space for its fans. You can enter while you hold at least the music tokens one minimum unlocking buy of that song gave. The artist can always enter.

How rank works

Rank is the number of the song's music tokens one wallet holds, most first. Wallets aren't added together: you get the best rank of the wallets you've signed in with.
DropTrax's wallet, the artist and the trading pool aren't ranked.
Ranks follow the blockchain and catch up within about 30 seconds of a buy or sell. The rank shown on a post is the rank you had when you posted.
Card buyers are ranked by the wallet DropTrax holds for them.
Exact ties are rare (tokens have 9 decimals). If two wallets hold exactly the same amount, they're ordered arbitrarily.
You can move down, or lose a tier, without selling anything, when other fans hold more. If your balance drops below the entry amount, you can no longer enter.

What each rank can do

Everyone inside: read the Public room.
Top 500: post videos and comments in the Public room.
Top 100: see the Private room and comment there.
Top 50: post videos in Sanctuary. Top 20: upload tracks there.
Top 5: reply directly to the artist's posts and message the artist. Being able to reply or message doesn't mean the artist will answer.

Fan rewards

Artists may share extras such as stems, unreleased tracks or ticket links, for everyone inside, top 100, top 20, top 5. Fan rewards are entirely up to the artist: there's no promise of any reward, schedule or amount, and they're not part of what you buy.

If an artist goes quiet

DropTrax doesn't promise new posts or content. If an artist stops posting or leaves, their Room stays open with what's already there (posts and fan rewards stay up unless a rights holder asks us to remove them), but there may be nothing new. Your download stays yours, and nothing is refunded.

IF AN ARTIST REMOVES A SONG

• No one bought it yet: it's deleted.
• Countdown running: it can't be removed until it launches.
• Launched: it comes off DropTrax, but its token keeps trading.
• Rising: it comes off DropTrax and fans get a refund.

Refunds

• You get back what went toward the launch, minus a 5% removal fee. The song price (the artist's) and the 8% fee aren't refunded.
• Your tokens for that song are burned when you're refunded.
• Paid by card: automatic. We email you the date, and it goes back to your card once the card payment clears (about 7 days).
• Paid with crypto: open the song's page, connect the wallet you bought with and tap Get my refund. The SOL comes back right away.
• You keep the song in your collection to play and download.

What You Get: Your first buy of a song's music tokens gives you, at purchase, a personal download of the song and entry to the artist's Room while you hold the entry amount, under the Room membership rules above. Fan rewards, posts and replies are optional and up to the artist; they are not part of what you buy and are not promised.

What Music Tokens Are Not: Music tokens are not shares, royalties, or a claim on revenue. They are not a share of any song, its copyright, sales or platform profits, and holding them does not entitle anyone to a payment. Nobody, including DropTrax and artists, promises that a token will be worth more later or that anyone will buy it from you.

DropTrax's Role and Fees: DropTrax runs the platform the artist sells through. Before launch DropTrax runs the token sale and its price curve, holds each song's pot, and holds the artist's share for artists who sign up with Google. At launch DropTrax creates the song's locked Meteora pool. DropTrax takes a 3% artist fee on the song price part of every buy, an 8% pot fee on the rest, half of the pool's trading fee and 5% of a song's leftover tokens. Cashing out to a bank (artists whose money DropTrax holds) has a 3% transaction fee, and fans who paid by card pay a 3% take-out fee, in tokens, when they move their tokens to their own wallet.

Refunds: The download and Room entry are delivered when you buy, so buys are not refunded, except where the law requires it. If a song's pot hasn't reached its launch minimum when the countdown ends, the sale stays open until it does.

Artists' Promotion: Artists agree to describe their songs, Room and fan rewards accurately, and not to tell fans that music tokens will rise in price, pay out, or are an investment. The same applies to anyone promoting a song for them.

Regulatory Compliance: Users are responsible for complying with all applicable laws and regulations in their jurisdiction, including but not limited to tax laws, securities laws, and regulations governing cryptocurrency transactions.

Records: When you buy, we record that you accepted these terms, with the date and the version you saw.
